What is the Commercial Pilot License – CPL (A)?

The Commercial Pilot Certificate is a qualification that permits the holder to act as the pilot of an aircraft for remuneration, i.e. to get employed as a pilot.

What are the Commercial Pilot License – CPL(A) course entry requirements?

The Commercial Pilot License – CPL(A) course entry requirements are as follows:

1. to be at least 18 years old
2. to be a Class 1 Medical holder
   You need to be physically fit for commercial flying (capable of holding EASA Pilot Medical Certificate Class 1).
3. to be PPL(A) holder
   You need to be at least EASA PPL(A) holder with Night Rating and 150 hours total flight time out of which 50 as Pilot-in-Command at the time of enrollment.
4. to have your theoretical exams passed
   You need to have the theoretical exams passed – either CPL(A) theory or ATPL(A) theory.
5. to be proficient in the English language
   You need to be proficient in the English language ICAO English Language Proficiency minimum level 4).
6. to have sufficient knowledge of Mathematics and Physics
   You must be able to make some basic mental calculation and have a minimum of knowledge in Mathematics and Physics, no degree or scholarship are needed but an evaluation will be done by the Academy.

What can I do with my Commercial Pilot License – CPL(A)?

The Commercial Pilot License allows you to act as the pilot of an aircraft for remuneration and

• Act as co-pilot (First Officer) in commercial air transportation,
• Act as pilot-in-command or co-pilot of any airplane engaged in operations other than commercial air transportation,
• Act as pilot-in-command in commercial air transportation of any single-pilot airplane.

How can I get my Commercial Pilot License – CPL(A)?

Step 1: complete the theoretical training

The theoretical training is provided in a form of several ground briefings/debriefings to help you understand what will be expected of you in the following flight. You will familiarize yourself with the basic commercial operations and maneuvers, gain further knowledge necessary for obtaining a CPL (A) and become familiar with the handling of a complex airplane.

Step 2: complete the practical training

1. For IR rated pilots – consists of 15 flight hours Dual, out of which 5 hours are on complex aircraft;
2. For non-IR rated pilots – 25 hours Dual, out of which 5 hours are on complex aircraft.

At the end of the training, the trainee must have a minimum of 200 total flight hours (including PPL(A) time):

• 20 hours of VFR cross-country flight time as pilot-in-command, including a cross-country flight totaling at least 540 km (300 NM) in the course of with full-stop landings at two aerodromes different from the aerodromes of departure,
• 10 hours of instrument training – Basic Instrument Flight Module (BIFM),
• 5 hours of night flying including one cross-country flight and 5 solo take-offs and 5 landings,
• 5 hours on a complex airplane.

Step 3: pass a practical flight examination

You will have to demonstrate the ability to:

• Operate the airplane within its limitations,
• Complete all maneuvers as smooth and as accurate as requested by EASA,
• Exercise good judgment and airmanship,
• Apply aeronautical knowledge,
• Maintain control of the airplane at all times

How much does the Commercial Pilot License – CPL(A) course cost?

The course price starts from 3198 EUR. Training fees are covering the following items and services:

• Instructor time for practical training only

¿Cuáles son los requisitos para entrar al curso de Piloto Comercial – CPL(A)?

Los requisitos para entrar al curso de  Licencia de Piloto Comercial – CPL(A) son los siguientes:

1. Tener al menos 18 años de edad.
2. Ser titular del certificado médico clase 1.
   Necesitas estar físicamente para el vuelo comercial (Tener  EASA Certificado medico de Piloto Clase 1).
3. Ser titular de  PPL(A).
   Necesitas tener al menos la  EASA PPL(A) con Habilitación de vuelo nocturno y 150 horas como tiempo total de vuelo de los cuales 50 serán como piloto en comando en el momento de la inscripción.
4. Pasar los exámenes teóricos.
   Necesitas  aprobar todos los exámenes teóricos  incluso la teoría de CPL(A)  o teoría de  ATPL(A).
5. Tener el idioma Inglés proficiente.
   Necesitas tener un nivel proficiente de Inglés ICAO Ingles Proficiente mínimo a nivel 4).
6. Tener suficiente Conocimiento de Matemáticas y Física.
   Deberás estar dispuesto para hacer algunos cálculos  mentales básicos, y tener un mínimo conocimiento en Matemáticas y Física, No es necesario tener un título o beca, pero una evaluación sera realizada en la Academia.

¿Qué puedo hacer con mi Licencia de Piloto Comercial  – CPL(A)?

La licencia de piloto comercial te permite actuar como piloto de aviones para obtener una remuneración, también:

• Actuar como piloto (Primer Oficial) en el transporte aéreo comercial.
• Actuar como piloto en comando o copiloto de cualquier avión dedicado a distintas operaciones del transporte aéreo comercial.
• Actuar como piloto en comando en transporte aéreo comercial de cualquier avión mono motor.

¿Cómo puedo obtener mi Licencia de Piloto Comercial – CPL(A)?

Paso 1: Completar el entrenamiento teórico

El entrenamiento teórico  se realiza en forma de algunas sesiones o instrucciones informativas y luego discutidas para ayudarte a comprender  lo que se esperar de usted para el siguiente vuelo. Te familiarizarás con las operaciones comerciales básicas y maniobras, obtener conocimiento adicional necesario para obtener  una CPL (A) y familiarizarte con el manejo de un avión complejo.

Paso 2: Completar el entrenamiento práctico

1. Para los pilotos con calificación IR – consiste de 15 horas de vuelo dual, de las cuales 5 horas son en un avión complejo.
2. Para los pilotos sin calificación de IR– 25 horas  Duales, de las cuales 5 horas serán en un avión complejo.

Al final del entrenamiento, el estudiante debe tener  un mínimo de 200 horas de vuelo total  incluyendo el tiempo de  PPL(A) :

• 20 horas de tiempo de vuelo de travesía VFR como piloto en comando, incluyendo como tiempo total del vuelo de travesía al menos 540 KM (300NM) en el transcurso de aterrizajes completos en dos aeródromos diferentes del aeródromo de salida.
• 10 horas de entrenamiento de Instrumentos – Modulo de Vuelo basico de Instrumentos (BIFM),
• 5 horas de vuelo nocturno  incluyendo un vuelo de travesía con 5  despegues y 5 aterrizajes.
• 5 horas en un avión complejo.

Paso 3: Pasar un exámen de vuelo práctico

Deberás demostrar la habilidad de:

• Operar el avión dentro de sus limitaciones.
• Completar todas las maniobras con suavidad y precision requeridas por la EASA.
• Ejecutar buen desempeño y dirección del avión.
• Aplicar conocimientos aeronáuticos.
• Mantener el control del avión en todo momento.

¿Cuánto cuesta el curso de la Licencia de Piloto Comercial – CPL(A)?
